Kanu’s parents burial: Allow us bury our dead, Family tells FG

The younger brother to embattled leader of the Indigenious People of Biafra(IPOB), Prince Emmanuel Kanu has pleaded with the federal government to remove the army that has invaded their Afaraukwu community to allow them bury their parents.

In the same vein, the President General of Isiama Afara Ibeku Autonomous Community,Chief Ikechukwu Ndubueze and the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths Council,Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka also called on the President Muhammadu Buhari led federal government to remove the presence of army scattered all over the community to enable them give their monarch and his dear wife a befitting burial devoid of problems of any kind.

In a joint a press briefing in Umuahia,the trio called for the understanding of federal government not to hit up the polity because they are poised to give befitting burial to their king and do not anticipate any problems as they have reached out to the security agencies in the state on the planned burial.

It would be recalled that the army  invaded the Afaraukwu community of late Eze Israel Okwu Kanu,the father of IPOB leader  Sunday, preparatory to the burial of the monarch and wife fixed for February 14,2020 , which prompted some of the residents fled from the community for fear of their lives.
