Katarko bridge disconnection unfortunate – Buni

Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni, Wednesday, said the Katarko Bridge disconnection due to heavy rain is unfortunate.
He stated this when he paid inspection visit to the scene of the Katarko cut off bridge that linked two local government areas of Gujba and Gulani from the state capital and Biu, Borno state.
Buni stated that the stage in which the state Ministry of Works has commenced to ensure it restores movement on the road is commendable.
The governor urged them to do their best by ensuring the restoration of movement on the road.
“Do your best to see that this road is reconnected for use as quickly as possible.
“We have some other
roads,  especially from Buni Gari to Gulani that also have been cut off. I think it is high time we reconnected back and I’m aware of the effort the military is making to ensure they support us putting a structure that would assist motorists on the road,” he said.
He further stated that this Katarko road that links Yobe and Borno states with another neighbouring state is very important.
