“I hereby solicit on his behalf to the wealthy individuals to assist him. The patient would definitively benefit if referred to a kidney transplant centre in the country, this however is estimated to cost N12, 000,000 only,” he added.

Narrating his ordeal to newsmen, the patient, Mukhtar Abdulkadir said, “I am suffering from end stage kidney disease whereby both of my kidney have failed. I need help. I used to work but for the last six months, I have been unable to go to my rice farm because of my deteriorating health condition.”

Abdulkadir stated that he couldn’t bear the dialysis expense of N65,000 weekly saying, ”My relatives ,friends and siblings have been supporting my dialysis cost, while the doctor said transplant is the best recommended treatment for me.

“I am hopeful for a transplant as my physicians and transplant team feel that I am still medically strong enough to undergo the transplant. I am calling on government, religious organisations, NGOs, philanthropists and others to come to my aid.
