KGIRS vows to hit revenue target, tasks staff on hard work

Acting chairman, Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KGIRS), Sule Salihu Enehe, has charged the staff of the agency to be committed in ensuring that the Service meets its 2022 target of revenue generation.

Enehe gave the charge Friday during the unveiling of the maiden edition of the agency’s quarterly newsletter published by the corporate communications unit of the Service.

He said the objective of the newsletter was to showcase and promote the product of the agency to the general public, urging the staff of the Service to be committed to their work in order to hit the target and the core mandate of the Service.

“The objective of the newsletter is to promote and expose the various items of tax to the tax payers so that they can be abreast of their right. Also what we offered is a service on behalf of the state government.

“The state government uses the tax collected by us to execute projects that have direct impact on the lives of the people. Roads, hospitals, street lights, water construction and renovation of schools and hospital among others are projects executed by government through revenue generated from tax collection,” he said.
