Kidnappers’ surrender weapons, as Police arrest 40 shilla boys in Adamawa

Five kidnappers allegedly terrorizing the people of Adamawa state willingly handed over 5 Ak 47 riffles and 334 rounds of live ammunitions   to the state police command.

Addressing a press conference Monday, Adamawa state commissioner of police (CP) Audu madaki attributed the repentance of the kidnappers to synergy between the police and Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association Adamawa state chapter who played a critical role.

According to him, they did not repent but submitted their weapons to the police through the state chairman of Miyetti Allah Alh. Jaoji Isa.

The CP further called on other associations which they have entered into synergy with the Police to emulate Miyatti Allah efforts  by reaching out to kidnappers in their midst in the ongoing efforts to free the state from all forms of criminality.

Meanwhile, Just as the state police command have again arrested 40 members of the notorious shilla boys specialized in attacking their victims with dangerous weapons and dispossessed them of their belongings.

He said all arrested Shilla boys will be charge to court for armed robbery because their mode of operation against their victims is the same with that of armed robbers.
