KIFA commiserates with victims of Lekki massacre, calls for peaceful resolution

The recent massacre of the #EndSARS peaceful protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos has continued to generate waves of emotional outpour from across the country and other parts of the world.

In a message released by the Director-General of Kanu International Football Academy (KIFA), Prince Dapo Ajibade, it totally condemned the unfortunate incident which literally brought social and economic activities to its knees in different parts of the country.

“KIFA empathizes with the victims of the Lekki incident. We therefore declare our unalloyed supports for their demands and restitution of their rights and constitutional priveledges.

“KIFA is about using football as a veritable tool for the development of Nigerian youths. At KIFA, we presently have over 120 football scouting and development centres spread across the 36 states of Nigeria, including the FCT. Thus, our ideals are synonymous with the creative and ambitious nature of the average Nigerian,” the foremost football administrator remarked.

“However, we want to advise our teeming youths to allow for peaceful dialogue and resolutions of their demands with the government. Wanton violence and destructions of public and individual properties is not the way out as it is inimical to our collective desires for a better Nigeria,” Ajibade, a former Chairman of Ondo State Football Agency, stated.
