Killing of Yantumaki district head ‘ll not deter us

The government of Katsina state Tuesaday said the heinous act of bandits would not deter government and  security agents from the ongoing military onslaught on the bandits. 

The secretary to the government of Katsina state, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa stated this at the burial of the late district head of Yantumaki, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Maidabino.

The funeral prayer which was held at the deceased’s residence was led by the Chief Imam of Yantumaki Central Mosque, Malam Babangida Sada, after which his remains was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites. 

In his condolence message, the SGS, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa lamented over the unfortunate incident that claimed the life of the district head.

He described the deceased as a peace loving gentleman, selfless and hardworking leader who contributed immensely to lasting peace in his domain and the state.

Inuwa said his demise was  an irreparable loss not only to the immediate family, Yantumaki district or Danmusa local government, but Katsina state in general. 

He assured that the perpetrators of the dastardly act will  be made to face the consequences. 

He appealed to the people to support government as well as the security agents in the fight by providing useful information that would help to curb the menace. 

Also in his condolence remarks, the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, urged family members and the entire people of the domain to take solace in the exemplary life of the late district head.
