Killings, not solution to our problems – AMORC

The Rosicrucian Order, otherwise known as the Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC) has called for end to the killings in the country, saying it is not the solution to Nigeria’s problems.
Secretary/Treasurer, National Board of AMORC – Nigeria, Johnson A. Ikube, stated this yesterday in an interview with newsmen in Makurdi at a three-day conference of AMORC Northern Regional Rotational Conclave, saying the wide spread killings in the country have succeeded in creating disharmony amongst the people.
Ikube said the country is facing challenges because of constant killings and dehumanising treatment inflicted upon the innocent, adding that life in the country is becoming valueless.
He said human beings are equal before God and that He created them to live together and fulfill their purposes of creation, noting that those who kill must understand that there is a part of human being that cannot be killed.
According to him, the topic of this year’s conclave, “the Souls Immortality and Universal Love,” was chosen to tell the people that killing is not a solution to problems and to also say that we have animmortal self which cannot die only the death of God can kill that immortal self.
“There are a lot of challenges in Nigeria today, a lot of killings.
People dehumanise human beings, life seems to have no value again in the eyes of the people, any little thing they kill.
“But the question is, why should people opt for killings as solution to their problems? It is clear that those who resort to killing whenthey have problems do not have proper understanding of the nature ofhuman beings and the purpose God created them.
All of us are from God and God does not discriminate whether the good the bad or the ugly.
Whether rich, poor, young, old, farmer, herdsman or armed robber, they are all children of God but they are just using their God given talents differently to cause disharmony instead of working together for the benefit of everybody.
“That is why we chose the topic to let us know that God created us in his image and only he can kill body and soul,” he said.
He emphasised the need for love among Nigerians to fulfill the purpose God brought us together, saying cooperation is better than competition.
“We must continue to be focused, and purposeful.
Some people believein war but war cannot give us what we want, it can only bring ruins,” he added
