Kogi builds N492m varsity hostels

Kogi state government has spent the sum of N252 million for the construction of two additional hostels for the male and female students at Kogi State University, Anyigba.
Vice-Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Hassan Isah, who disclosed this to newsmen in Lokoja, the state capital, said work on the projects had reached completion stage, adding that Captain Idris Wada’s administration has also released the sum of N120 Million for the resuscitation of six academic programmes which includes Faculties of Management Sciences, Agriculture, Arts and Humanities.
Others are law, natural Sciences as well as social sciences.
According to him, Captain Idris Wada also released N120 million for the completion and equipping of the medical laboratory of the institution for the take off of the Faculty of Medicine.
Professor Isah noted that the governor has given approval for the upgrading of the Reference and Diagnostic Hospital for Kogi state University Anyigba as he thanked the state government for fulfilling its pledges, and promised the support of the management for the administration of Captain Idris Wada.
