Kogi: Ebira group declares support for Bello

The Kaduna branch of Ebira People’s Association (EPA) has declared support for the second term of Kogi state Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.


The declaration programme tagged ‘Operation Show Your PVC, was held in Kaduna, Sunday.


Briefing newsmen on the activity, a youth leader, Comrade Rufai Musa Adavuruku, said they decided to back the governor because of his tremendous achievements especially in the areas of security and social infrastructure recorded in the last four years.


Explaining further, he said, “The governor has helped in laying to rest the incessant clashes in Kogi state, a gesture that has brought harmonious relation among people of the West, East and Central districts of the state.

“Also, the governor has through pragmatic leadership been able to checkmate kidnapping and armed robbery which were rife in Kogi state before the inception of his administration.”


“Unlike previous administrations which did not find it expedient to include youth in governance, the present administration has addressed the issue by appointing more youth into this government.”


Speaking earlier, the chairman of the group, Comrade Idris Otohinoyi Usman, reiterated EPA’s determination towards mobilising Kogites across the state to vote for the governor in the November 16 governorship poll.


He said “Yahaya Bello’s administration is a moving train that deserves the involvement of all for him to sustain his lofty programmes for Kogi state. Nobody can stop him.”
