The Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Mrs. Hafiza Yahaya Bello, has condemned the rising cases of rape in the country.
Mrs. Hafiza stated this when a group of Lawyers, under the auspices of Action Against Rape, (AAR) paid her a courtesy visit at the Government House in Lokoja.
The President of the group, Hajia Amina Abdulrasheed, lauded the achievements of Kogi’s first lady for her numerous contributions to different pet projects in the State.
She said Mrs. Hafiza Yahaya has proven herself beyond doubts, that women should be protected at all cost.
“Anyone who is found culpable in a proven rape case, should be made to face the full weight of the law.
“No one should escape judgment for his escapade, because we all know that there are consequences for every action,” she stated.
