Kogi: Group drums support for Bello’s re-election

A socio-political group, Governor Yahaya Bello Frontier Forum (GYB) FCT chapter, has endorsed the reelection bid of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state.

The chairman of the Forum, Mr Yusuf Musa, who disclosed this, said the group “which is made up of Ebira sons and daughters at home and in the Diaspora, is supporting Governor Bello’s second term bid because of his outstanding performances in the areas of security, agriculture, infrastructure, youth empowerment, among others.”

Musa stated this in Abuja Friday, at a town hall meeting organised by the Forum where all the Ebira traditional rulers in the FCT endorsed the second term bid of the governor.

He said, “If you could remember, when the governor came into office on January 27, 2016, Kogi state was facing so many challenges ranging from insecurity, backlog of salary arrears, ghost workers, underdevelopment, and youth unemployment, etc.

“If you could recall, before assumed office, kogi state was always in the news for kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crime. People are afraid to travel home for the fear of being kidnapped; all that is now in the past. This administration has made the confluence state safe for citizens, residents, travellers, investors, and tourists in the state.

He called on sons and daughters of Kogi state, especially Ebira land, to give support to the governor in order to move the state forward.
