Kogi poll: PDP boasts, assures supporters of victory

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi state, Engr Musa  Wada, has assured the party members and supporters that it was on the threshold of celebrating its electoral victory in the election.

The party therefore urged them to come out en mass to exercise their civic responsibility to actualize the certain of their victory.

Wada, who stated this in Lokoja during the rally, promised to deliver good governance to the electorate in line with his campaign manifesto, saying that would be possible because the PDP is renowned for staying faithful to its campaign promises.

He said Kogi people would soon smile as his administration would, upon inauguration, bring respite to citizens who have been traumatized by the poor administration of the APC.

“Without mincing words, as soon as we get the victory and are inaugurated, we will hit the ground running. We have identified areas of quick intervention which we will not shy away from tackling to make life meaningful for the people.

“Our party, the PDP is known to be a political party that has the interest of the people at heart and we will not deviate from that policy of inclusiveness”, he said.

The Lokoja local government chairman of the PDP, Idris Lokoja, said unlike the APC rallies characterised by rented crowds, the PDP members and supporters willingly came out without any form of inducements other than love and commitment to the party.

He assured that the party would surprise people with massive vote on the voting day, appealing to members and supporters not to be deterred by threat of the ruling party that they would not allow opposition parties to cast their votes.
