Ahead of November 16 governorship election in Kogi state, stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi West senatorial district have endorsed the joint ticket of Engr Musa Wada and Hon Samuel Aro as their choice for the election.

The endorsement, which took place in Lokoja Monday at a meeting of Kogi West PDP stakeholders, chaired by the party’s zonal chairman, Sam Abenemi, saw prominent PDP members in attendance.

Speaking at the meeting, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiya, urged all stakeholders of the party to put aside grievances arising from the last primary election of the PDP and form a common front to ensure victory for the party.

He said the PDP national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, was committed to the ongoing reconciliation efforts aimed at bringing all aggrieved party members in the state on board ahead of the election.

He appealed to all those aggrieved with the outcome of the party’s primaries to put that behind and join hands to push Governor Yahaya Bello out of Lugard House come November 16.

He called on INEC to ensure it conducts free, fair and credible governorship election in the state.
Among those present at the meeting were a former deputy governor, Arc Yomi Awoniyi, a former deputy Chief of Staff to Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Prince Olusola Akonmode, a former member of House of Representatives, and other top party leaders.
