Kogi voters await our govt – SDP

Ahead of the November 16 Login governorship election,

The chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi state, Mouktar Atimah, has said the people are waiting for his party to rescue the state from “present predicaments.”

Atimah made the claim during the SDP’s state executives and stakeholders meeting, in Lokoja, Wednesday, noting that the people have placed their faith and hope on the SDP to steamroll economic development of the state.

According to him, the SDP would not only overcome the disqualification of its governorship candidate, Natasha Akpoti, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), but would eventually go on to win the November 16 governorship poll.

“We are prepared for winning. We will overcome the illegal disqualification and salvage the people of kogi state.

“The people of Kogi state are hoping on us to save them from the present predicament. We cannot afford to fail the people of state. The party will set a new dawn in Nigeria, when it produces the first female elected governor.”

Also, the Natasha/Khalid Campaign Organisation the Director General, Dr Baba Abdul, charged supporters of SDP and its candidate, Natasha Akpoti to remain committed and undaunted in their quest to change the bad narratives of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration.

He urged them to work for the interest of the party at all levels, and with sincerity and singleness of purpose that would eventually ensure they accomplish the mission to save the people of Kogi state.
