Korean Ambassador in Lagos, assists eye surgery beneficiaries

Recently, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Lee In-tae was at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital Lagos where he interacted and cheered beneficiaries of free cataract eye treatment and surgeries conducted by Vision Care – an international relief organisation affiliated to the World Health Organisation dedicated to the prevention of blindness through global projects initiatives-in collaboration with LASUTH and sponsored by Samsung Heavy Industries Nigeria LTD.


The 5th edition of the vision eye camp took place between September 30 and October 4, 2019.
A  total of 115 persons underwent free cataract surgeries while 224 persons had eye treatments.
The Ambassador expressed happiness with the outcome of the Vision Care Eye Camp 2019 and remarked that such medical outreach was meaningful to the good health of Nigerians. 
The Ambassador encouraged the beneficiaries and wished them very good health. 


One of the highlights of the event was the Ambassador assisting some of the beneficiaries to open their eyes for the first time after their surgeries.
Many of the beneficiaries who came from different parts of Nigeria also met with the Ambassador and were filled with joy at the restoration of their eye sights.
