KRPC distributes 60, 000 exercise books to 32 schools

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) yesterday distributed 60,000 exercises books worth N16 million to the primary schools in its host community.

According to the company’s management, a total of 32 primary schools would benefit from the exercise books.
Speaking at the LEA Primary School Sabon Yelwa, Chikun local government area of Kaduna state,  KRPC’s head of public affairs department, Malam Abdullahi Idris said KRPC annually distributes about 30, 000 exercise books quarterly to the primary schools within the host communities.

“KRPC is conscious of the importance of education so we are doing this as part of our social responsibilities to our host communities. Nobody knows amongst the pupils there maybe future governor, senator or leader. Our hope is to impact positively to the future of our great country.

“KRPC is committed and will continue discharging its social responsibilities to these communities, the 60,000 exercise books would surely be distributed to 32 primary schools and the books are worth N16 million,” he said.
Malam Abdullahi explained further that those schools who do not have enough books this time around should expect more in March as another 30,000 books would be shared every quarter among the schools located in the communities.

“The company is doing this to assist the government and the people living within the KRPC communities. All we want from the people is to remain in peace with each other,” he added.
The headmistress, L.E.A Sabon Yelwa, Mrs. Comfort Kyom, commended KRPC management for the gesture done to the pupils of the schools.
