Kudos to FCT Minister over abolition of Park & Pay policy

The Northern Youth Advocacy for Excellence (NOYADE) exulting over the achievements of Senator Bala Mohammad as Minister of the FCT, is persuaded to openly commend him for his fairness, flexibility and respect for the rule of law as symbolized by his prompt and unreserved suspension of the park and pay policy of the FCT following last week’s judgement by Justice Peter Afen of the Federal High Court, Apo, Abuja which declared the scheme illegal and unsupported by any law of the land. NOYADE is familiar with the Park and Pay policy as one of the unpopular policies of Bala’s administration in the FCT which has been the subject of varied opinions and condemnations, facts which the Honorable Minister took into advisement while the matter lasted.

We admire the courage, understanding and tolerant humanism of the minister in yielding to popular pressures even when he believes that the scheme will be beneficial to the FCTA in terms of revenue generation, traffic control and security. He has shown us that he is truly committed to making the FCT comfortable for all people at any cost, and is feelingly alive to the yearnings and concerns of the people. This positive attitude is a glaring testament of the desirable qualities of our leadership and, therefore, worthy of emulation by leaders at all levels of governance.

NOYADE lauds Bala’s remarkable administrative prowess, seriousness of concern for the people and his continuing abilities in showing that he is always the first with the new, attributes which make him admirable beyond reasons.
To the people’s minister, a high-potential personality, NOYADE is saying “more grease to your elbows, Sir”.
