Kuje council chair flags off N30m Gomo road project

Chairman of Kuje Area Council Alhaji Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, Friday, flagged off a 250 metres Gomo palace road construction.

Speaking during the flagged off ceremony in kuje, the chairman told Blueprint that the project is expected to cost the council the sum of N30 million.

He added that when completed, the road would serve as alternative route for the residents of Kuje area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Sabo reiterated that with the availability of funds, the council would not relent in its effort to provide the desire dividends of democracy to the people in the area.

The chairman said apart from the Gomo’s road construction project, there are other ongoing projects by the council as part of his one hundred (100) days in office.

He pointing out that some of the projects were at the stage of completion, adding that the projects are part of his administration’s mandate to providing social infrastructure to the people of Kuje area council.

The chairman charged the construction company handling the project to complete the job within six months as scheduled.

On his part, the Site Engineer, Glamorous Nigeria Limited, Engineer Watt Dang Gwom, who is the contractor handling the construction project said the job description is for the company to remove the old asphalt as good drainages for free flow of water.

He promised to deliver the project without compromising standards in six weeks given to the company by the council.

He said that the council had already mobilized the company to the site.
