Kuje council to ensure child’s right to education

Chairman of Kuje area council, Hon. Abdulahi Galadima, has promised to ensure the protection of Child Right to Education in the area.
Galadima made the promise at this year’s Children’s Day celebrations in Kuje.
Our correspondent reports that the Day’s celebration themed “Child Protection and a Sustainable Development Goals,” was marked by various schools, traditional rulers and residents in the area.
He said his administration would ensure the protection and education of children in the area.
“On this happy occasion of our children, I reaffirm my believe that it is the right of every Nigerian Child to have access to quality and affordable Education as well as health Care and basic necessities.
“The good health and well being of our children remain a top priority on our agenda for adequate development as spelt out in our 2017 Budget.
“I wish to use this opportunity to call on parent and stakeholders in the upbringing and counselling of children to become law abiding citizens,” he said.
The chairman added that his administration was committed to organising programmes that would prepare the children for leadership roles as future leaders.
