Kuje LP councillorship aspirant promises youth empowerment

Comrade Ugwaha David Daniel Fache, the councillorship aspirant under the Labour Party (LP) ticket for Kuje Central Ward, Abuja FCT, has pledged to give priority to youth empowerment under his ward if elected councillor in the February 12, 2022 FCT chairmanship/councillorship election.

Daniel, who made the call while speaking to Blueprint in Kuje Tuesday promised to be accountable, accessible and responsive to the needs of the people for the development of the council.

The aspirant said he will intensify on poverty alleviation programmmes with a specific focus on youth employment and empowerment, as he declared that an idle hand is the devil’s workshop.

“We all know that the future belongs to the youths who are innovative and industrious, they are also the bedrock for development if empowered.

“I will empower the youths to realise their full potentials and that will be one of my key priorities if given the mandate, he said.

“I want to also state that if given the opportunity to serve, I will be accountable and responsive to the problems confronting the people in my area of jurisdiction.

According to him, making the youth self-reliant, resourceful, industrious and creative is one of the agenda of what I’m going to do if elected; hence I would always welcome ideas that would give the desired leverage.

The aspirant expressed confidence of clinching the seat for the Labour Party in Kuje area council despite the presence of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the council area.
