Kurfi visits recuperating Super Eagles player, Collins, in Cardiff

Katsina  FA chairman boss, Aminu Balele Kurfi is laying a new foundation for the Nigerian football with his compassionate and philanthropic act by visiting injured Super Eagles players who are normally abandoned and jettison by the relevant authority to give succor and encouragement to them.

Over the weekend, Kurfi was in Cardiff, Wales to visit Jamilu Collins another Super Eagles player who is recuperating from injury.

Kurfi otherwise known as ‘Dan Arewa’ demonstrated his magnanimity and strong leadership qualities by filling the vacuum for the leadership of the nation’s football while several of the FA’s chairman are frolicking and jostling for political appointment in the country ahead of the September 30 NFF election.

Just few days ago, he was in Real Sociedad, Spain to cheer and encourage  injured Super Eagles striker, Sadiq Umar, where he used the opportunity to inform the striker that the whole football stakeholders are fully praying for his quick recovery.

In Cardiff, the former Katsina United chairman assured  Jamilu Collins that the Nigerians and football stakeholders are solidly behind and praying for his speedy recovery.

Collins was very happy to see Kurfi, who is also a member of NFF technical committee and it is quite encouraging to note that as focus was in Algeria where  the Super Eagles will play an international friendly with Algeria , a rare gem of a leader was also able to direct football loving Nigerians to the attention of Collins in Cardiff through the visit.

“The players must come first. We cannot administer football without the players. I have chosen this period to remember our heroes and I am using my money to tour Europe just to see these injured players and remind them that Nigerians still love them,” Kurfi said.

“I want to assure you that Nigerians are praying for you, for your quick recovery and by God’s grace you will bounce back better playing for your club and country again,” he said.

Collins used the occasion to thank the Katsina FA chairman for his show of love and every football loving Nigerian for their prayers and support.

“We thank God that I am recovering everyday. I also thank you for this visit. Your visit has lifted my spirit higher. I want to also appreciate every Nigerian for their prayers,”  Collins said.

“It is good to know that you are not only  remembered when you are wearing the green and white colours of Nigeria, but also when you are down and injured,” he added.
