Department of Health in Kwali area council has taken measures to address the cases of non-compliance to polio in the area. Coordinator of Primary Health Care (PHC) in-charge of Kwali, Dr. Samuel Adudu, disclosed this recently during the National Immunisation Plus Days (NIPLDs) carried out in the 10 political wards of the Council. He said sensitisation programme was held at Gadabiyu to educate parents to desist from rejecting polio vaccines, explaining that “polio is one of the preventable diseases governments at all levels are combating to eradicate.” Adudu commended Chairman of the Council, Hon. Joseph Shazin, for giving the necessary assistance to ensure the success of the exercise.
