Kwankwaso names son- inlaw PDP guber candidate

The fear earlier expressed by stakeholders in Kano when former Governor Kwankwaso joined PDP that he will take over the structure of the party manifested weekend when the Senator representing Kano Central named his son-in-law Abba Kabir Yusuf as PDP governorship candidate while his former Commissioner for state affairs was given the form for deputy governorship.
It could be recalled that former Governor of Kano State Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and his teaming supporter recently left PDP in protest when the National Headquarters of the party gave Kwankwaso clear edge over those he met in the party and have contributed immensely to the party for years.
After marathon meeting weekend in his Kaduna home Kwankwaso distributed forms to his followers and assigned which offices to vie for, under the arrangement his son-inlaw and his former Commissioner for Commerce Kabir K.
Yusuf was given the form for governorship, his former Commissioner for State Affairs Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam was given form for Deputy Governorship.
Similarly, the former Governor who is now a front line PDP presidential aspirant has asked Professor Hafiz Abubakar who resigned recently as Deputy Governor to contest for Kano Central Senatorial seat but he declined because he learned that the Kwankwasiyya leader prefer Hon.
Ali Madaki.
In the vain Kwankwaso has asked Mal.
Salisu Sagir Takai who has also bought form for Kano Governorship on PDP ticket was asked to go and contest for the Senatorial ticket while Sani Rogo and Ahmed Garba Bichi were directed to contest Kano South and North Senatorial seats respectively.
Blueprint can report that this arrangement did not go down well with some of those close to the for- mer Governor, especially Mallam Salisu Sagir Takai a known loyalist of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau who refused to defect to APC with Shek- arau because he told Kwankwaso will endorse him for Governorship on PDP ticket was heard bitterly complaining, similarly Professor Hafiz Abubakar was equally disap- pointed because he resigned his position as Deputy Governor think- ing that Kwankwaso will support him for the Governorship on PDP ticket.
Pundits are of the view that this is the worst political arraignment ever made by the former Governor be- cause his son-in-law Kabir K.
Yusuf is not only arrogant and long ranger he is not popular within political circles, similarly former Managing Director NPA Arch.
Aminu Dabo who has been spending millions of Naira to support Kwankwaso politi- cal family in Kano and wanted to be Governor has equally been disappointed, infact there was open jubilation in the Ganduje camp because this to them is a work over.
