“We call on all the security agencies to buckle up and tame the monsters who are now terrorising everybody in not just Ilorin but everywhere in Kwara where people express their desire for freedom and life more abundant.”

PDP has destroyed Abia – AP guber candidate

The Accord Party governorship candidate in Abia State, Emeka Uwakolam, has declared that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has destroyed all facets of governance in Abia.

The AP governorship candidate who stated this, in an interview with journalists in Umuahia, the state capital on Sunday, decried the infrastructural deficits in the state.

According to Uwakolam, “PDP has killed Abia state. How can I join PDP when they have destroyed the entire apparatus of government in the state.

“I am standing for the many Abians who have suffered under PDP. Look at the dilapidated state of infrastructures in the state, everywhere is dirty.

“I cannot join these people who have destroyed the state. I think, this is a blackmail. In this election, the people’s vote will count. Forget about the noises being made by PDP and APC.

“I am in the race to free the people of Abia state from bondage. This government is against the people. If my they (PDP) are standing with the people, why is there no development in Abia?

“Abians need to be rededicated to God for it to be free from the evil hands of godfathers. There is institutional failure in every sector of the state’s economy. Nothing is working in Abia.

“Roads they are erecting, how many kilometres? Abians are looking for a governor who has the capacity to fix the myriads of problems facing the state.

“PDP has gotten everything wrong almost in every sector of the state”s economy. There is no transparency. The money that is accruing to Abia, is not being used to work for the people of Abia”.

He said this to dismiss the notion that he was being sponsored by the PDP administration in the state, reiterating his determination and his resolve to enthrone the needed change come March 2019 governorship election in Abia.

On the February presidential election, Uwakolam, disclosed that the leadership of Accord Party would make its position known on who to support in the forthcoming poll.

“We are watching and analysing on who to support. We are looking at their antecedents and prospects.

“Accord Party is critically analysing the two leading presidential candidates, President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Soon, we will make our stand known to the people”, he said.
