Kwara: APC govt’ll be fair to all – Ahmed

Kwara state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was in safe hands in the state and assured potential members of equity, fairness and justice.

Ahmed stated this while speaking to journalists after he was registered alongside his wife, Omolewa, by the Chairman, APC registration committee in the state, Dr Hassan Lawal, in Share Ward One, Share, headquarters of Ifelodun local government area.

He said the massive turnout of members on the first day of the party’s membership registration exercise was an indication it had mass appeal in the state “and an endorsement of the alignment of former members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with the APC.”

“The APC is better positioned to offer the change Nigerians earnestly yearn for,” he said, adding that “the party would benefit immensely from the virile political culture in the state.”

Earlier, when the APC registration committee visited him in his office at the Government House, Ilorin, the governor said major harmonisation of all shades of interests of APC in the state had been carried out in order to make the party stronger and more united.
