Kwara commissioner loses mother

Mother of the Kwara state Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr. Mopelola Bashir, Hadjia Aminatu Abdulmaliq Ikudaisi (Nee Onimago), is dead.

She died Thursday and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Meanwhile, a leading pro-democracy group, Kwara Must Change, has condoled with the commissioner over the demise of her mother.

The group, which spoke through its state co-ordinator, Yusuf Moyosore, said Hadjia Aminatu lived a pious and peaceful life and he prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant her eternal peace.

“We pray that the Almighty Allah will forgive her shortcomings and grant her Al-jannah Firdaus. Losing a precious mother is a difficult thing because nobody can replace a mother in the life of her children and the entire household, but he prayed for Allah’s strength to hold the family together and grant them fortitude to bear the loss,” he said.
