Kwara community begs govt on collapsed bridge

The Ibagun community in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara state has appealed to the state government to expedite action on the reconstruction of the collapsed Alagbado Bridge.

Chairman of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union ( IEDPU), Ibagun/Okelele branch, Alhaji Hameed Amode, made the appeal on behalf of the community.

He spoke in Ilorin, the state capital during the 10th quarterly delegates meeting of IEDPU Central zone hosted by the Ibagun branch.

Amode lamented that the community has been cut off from the Specialist Hospital, Alagbado because of collapsed bridge.

He equally urged the government to ensure completion of Alawonla-Dada road under construction.

While thanking the state government for fixing the roads within the community, Amode also called for total rehabilitation of the road linking Government Day Secondary School, Amule-Samsudeen-Kanjatu market.

He stressed the need for the construction if drainage from Jagun junction- Olohunboasiri-  Sobi junction route.

In his remarks, the Ilorin zone chairman of IEDPU, Alhaji Mohammed Olohundare appealed to all indigenes of Ilorin Emirate to contribute their quota to the development of the area.
