Kwara gov’s son Farouk lauds Buhari on N75bn youth investment fund

Frontline politician and business development manager, Farouk Abdulrasaq, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari on the approval and establishment of a N75 billion Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) for three years following a memo presented by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development.

In a statement issued to newsmen Friday, Farouk, who is the son of Kwara state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, said the establishment of the youth investment fund will assist in funding and supporting the innovative ideas, skills, talents and enterprises of the youths in the country.

Farouk also said President Buhari has demonstrated his commitment to the youths by the singular gesture, and promised to collaborate with relevant authorities to assist youths in his home state of Kwara.

 “The youths are the future of Nigeria, and there is no investment that is too big to help them maximise their potentials in their chosen endeavours, AbdulRasaq stated.

He further said, the youth investment fund is necessary at this point, particularly at a time the Nigerian youths are facing a post COVID -19 economy.
