Kwara signage agency cautions politicians on opponents’ bill boards, posters

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Kwara state Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) has cautioned politicians vandalisation of their opponents’ billboards to avoid needless crisis in the state.

The agency said the warning became necessary as a result of different reports on vandalisation of political billboards and destruction of posters which it had received in recent times.

Reacting to the issue, the director general of the agency, Hon. Olorunshola Omotayo, said the agency would not fold its hands watch people destroy one another’s structures in the state.

Omotayo bemoaned the attitude of some politicians who indulged in such acts and said it was high time they desisted  from any act of political bitterness as the country was already tensed with various security threat.

He also warned religion bodies against indiscriminate pasting of posters, saying  government would not hesitate to wield its big stick on anyone found wanting.

The KWASA boss said the agency would soon be going round to enforce government’s order on the erection of billboards and posters.
