Labour Party vows to fight gender inequality in Ekiti

The governorship candidate of Labour Party in Ekiti State, Hon Opeyemi Bamidele, has vowed to tackle head on gender inequality and all forms of discrimination against the womenfolk if elected governor in the June 21 election in the State.
Describing women as pivotal to any nation desirous of  development, Bamidele said he would put them in a vantage position where their interests in professional and political careers would be enhanced  and protected.

Bamidele said this in Erinjiyan and Ikogosi Ekiti yesterday in Ekiti West Local Government Area of the state during his electioneering campaign.
The House of Representatives member, who lamented  the subjugation of women in the sharing of political positions in the country, said he would strive hard to ensure that all forms of barriers against women are removed in the interest of justice and fair play.
