Ladipo swears in new FCT NFSC exco

President General of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club and National Chairman, Dr. Rafi u Ladipo and Rev Samuel Ikpea yesterday sworn in the newly elected executives members of the FCT chapter to run the aff airs of the club for the next four years Th e election which took place at the Old Parade Ground ,Area 10 had the former secretary of the chapter, Comrade Frank Abiona emerging as the chairman unopposed.

Th e election also saw Mrs Welter Elizabeth and Dauda Yusuf emerging unopposed as the vice chairman and secretary respectively. Other elected offi cials are Charles Ikechukwu (Treasurer), Funke Olabelurin (Financial Secretary), Stanley Chiemeka (PRO), Williams Nnaemeka (Internal Auditor), and Ochoja Alice (Welfare offi cer). Speaking after his election as the new chairman of the Comrade Frank Abiona, pledged his loyalty to Rev. Samuel Ikpea-led national executives of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club. He also pledged to carry out his duties diligently and thanked the members for the confi dence reposed in him and his team and promised to among other things work for the unity and progress of the chapter.

Th e national president of NFSC, Rev. Samuel Ikpea while congratulating the new of the offi cials of the FCT chapter, harped on the need for all hands to be on deck to fi ght enemies of Nigeria’s football, who are bet on destroy supporters club and vowed to rid the club of pests who are inimical to the progress of the Supporters Club. “Th ose who are looking for what they stand to benefi t from an organisation and failed in that bid will always want to destroy. In my 30 years membership of this club, we have not had any immoral issues. “We move with one mission, which is to ensure our teams win matches: we fast and pray ceaselessly. We must unite against these enemies of Nigeria’s football and their sponsors,” he said. Dr.Ladipo who also double as the chairman Board of Trustees, was among the top dignitaries that witnessed the election, described the NFSC as a model for others despite growing from nothing to something
