Lafarge Wapco records N299.153bn revenue

Lafarge Wapco has recorded growth in its revenue as it grow to N299.153 billion at the end of 2017 financial year.
The result represents an increase of N79.439 billion or 36 per cent compared with N219.714 billion reported in the preceding year.
The result the company submitted to Nigerian Stock Exchange showed loss of N34.032 billion from loss before tax of N22.818 billion made in the preceding year.
The gross profit grew from N40.661 billion to. N50.759 billion while operating profit decreased to N7.885 billion from N12.439 billion reported in the corresponding period of last year
The analysis of the financial result indicated that finance income dropped to N1.438 billion from N3.675 billion.
The company’s non current assets grew from N409.749 billion to N426.623 billion at the end of December, 2017 while the current assets rose from N91.624 billion to N151.103 billion bringing the total assets to N577.727 billion from N501.373 billion achieved in the comparable period of 2016.
Total liabilities grow significantly from N252.421 billion in the preceding year to N420.740 billion within the period under review.
