Lagos first pilgrims batch back to Nigeria

The first batch of Nigeria pilgrims from Lagos that performed this year’s hajj have arrived at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos Saturday night.

Lagos pilgrims departed the King Abdulaziz International Airport, Jeddah at about 3:00 p.m. local time, on board Flynas airline.

The pilgrims numbering 432 were first batch of pilgrims to arrive after this year’s Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Over 2000 pilgrims from Lagos state performed 2019 Hajj exercise.

The state Amirul Hajj, Dr. Abdul-hakeem Abdul-Lateef, said the second batch of pilgrims from the state would soon be on their way home to meet their families

The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON),  Barrisrer Abdullah Muhammad Mukthar, after the final airlift said 65,000 Nigerian pilgrims performed the 2019 Hajj exercise with the over 2 million pilgrims around the world.

The commission chairman promised the pilgrims that returning would be hastened to allow them join their families after completing the Hajj exercise.

He advised the pilgrims who are still in Saudi Arabia to continually abide by the laws  of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until they depart the country.
