Lagos guber aspirant alleges intimidation by state govt

A governorship aspirant in Lagos state for the 2023 election and chairman of Jandor Foundation, Mr. Olajide Adeniran, has accused the Lagos state government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately frustrating his programmes and intimidating his followers.

Adeniran, who is the Vision Leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement and a Chieftain of the APC said he and his team are focused on their mission to ensure and enthrone an egalitarian society and provide a level playing ground for all residents of Lagos irrespective of tribe, religion or state of origin.

Narrating how the state government has either cancelled his planned engagements or sanctioned those who identified his vision for the state, he said a sequence of unpalatable events has taken place in the last few days which are purposely targeted at his movement.

The governorship aspirant said a group of students who visited his office and had a group photograph with him were stripped of their scholarship by the state government while the sponsorship for a programme where he was billed to address the students was cancelled and denied the venue.
