Mother of Lamidon Adamawa, His Royal Highness, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, is dead.Palace sources said she died at the age of 87 after a brief illness.
She is survived by her only son the Lamido of Adamawa Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu as well as many grand and great grand children.
A statement by the eldest son of Lamidon Adamawa, who is the Adamawa state commissioner for local government affairs, Mustapha Barkindo Aliyu, noted that the mother of the monarch Hajja Adda Gombeji died yesterday morning.
She has since been buried according to Islamic rites at Hubbare Modibbo Adama located at the Lamido’s palace.
