President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawal Monday led a delegation to Sokoto to condole with Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the senator representing Sokoto Central over the death of his daughter, Hajiya Sa’adiya, who passed away Thursday night as a result of childbirth complication at the Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.
A press statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar Bagudu, Abubakar Muazu Dakingari, said other members of the delegation included Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni and chairman Progressives Governors’ Forum, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
The rest are Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, Hon. Usman Balkore, a former member of the Huse of Representatives and a businessman, Alhaji Auwal Lawal Gombe prayed Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest, her parents and husband fortitude to bear the loss.
Lawan said he was at Gawon Nama area resident of Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko to on behalf of the entire Senate commiserate with one of the most active, committed and courageous leaders, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, who has contributed immensely to the development of not only Sokoto state but the entire country.
He urged Senator Wamakko to absorb the unfortunate incidence with grace and faith in Allah by praying fervently for the repose of her soul.
