Plateau State legislators yesterday frowned at the non-implementation of constituency projects, captured in the state 2016 and 2017 budgets, and subsequently constituted a 5-man ad hoc committee to look into the matter.
The House resolution was reached following a motion raised by Hon. Abubakar Muhammad Balo, who stated that no “constituency project has been executed in any of the 24 State constituencies,” in spite of receiving allocations the two previous budgets.
Balo said he might likely be speaking the minds of the other 23 members, adding that it seems that the laws that the House have been making are not been obeyed.
However, House leader, Hon. Henry Yinkwup, disagreed but the lawmakers unanimously voted for the investigation into the matter.
