Let’s put 2019 election behind – Rep

The member representing Hong/Gombi federal constituency of Adamawa state, Hon Yusuf Captain Buba, has urged Nigerians to put aside their differences which arose from the 2019 general elections and work together for the peace, unity and development of Nigeria. 

Buba, who is the chairman House Committee on Foreign Affairs stated this Tuesday in Yola in his Sallah message to Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general. 

He urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice and commitments to nation building as exemplify  by the Holy Prophet who sought to sacrifice his only son in obedience to Allah’s commandment and for the common good of all. 

“The path to revival and reconstruction is usually fraught with untoward peculiarities but let’s keep hopes alive believing that tomorrow will be better. Let’s keep all our ills feelings, distrust and divisions brought by 2019 general elections behind us and forge ahead in the overall interest of the country. Let’s supports Mr President and all political leaders to enable them delivered on their promises”, he said.

Accordingly, he urged Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the task of nation building, forgive one another, embrace peace and put the love of the country above their personal interest and ambition stressing that, no nation attains greatness without the corresponding sacrifice from its people. 

He assured Nigerians of their readiness to served and delivered more dividends of democracy to the electorates and appealed to those who god have blessed to always remember the less privileged.

Also, he called on all to spare a thought for those who lost their lives in war front and those whose bread winners are currently in theatre of was especially in the North East fighting to safeguard the country and pray for them.
