Sir! The dissolution of Bauchi State Executive Council and other political appointees, on June 9, 2021, by your administration came with mixed reactions among Bauchi state citizens, knowing the fact that Bauchi state citizens have high expectations from the administration that came with a lot of good will.Ā
However, there is the need to move quickly away from outdated methods of selecting your cabinet and into the contemporary reality, where the larger majority will benefit from democratic dividends.

Hopefully, your cabinet is required to reflect on the people’s desires and goals. No doubt, commissioners are representative of the people. Their decision should reflect on the yearnings and aspirations of the populace.Ā
To put it another way, politics is a game of numbers, and in order to bring positive development closer to the people, Mr. Governor, you must pick those who share your visions, qualified advisers who are more familiar with their environment. There is widespread worry that some of your cabinet appointments are not visible in the local government areas they represent. Attempts to determine; what people want, what their problems are, and what are the best approaches to solve them proved abortive.Ā Ā A leadership is a responsibility, which is entrusted by God, your subordinates are expected to be closer to people to bridge the gap that exists, perhaps not all can have direct access to government house.Ā

Ā No doubt, since the return to democracy in 1999, Bauchi state never has had a governor that stays in our midst and confronts numerous challenges to address them like Bala Muhammad. This has been attested by all lovers of truth. Keep the tempo, Sir. The footprint left behind shall forever speak for you in the future, posterity will judge you positively. Our hope and prayers are for you to leave the state better than how it was met before coming on board.Ā Ā We’re appealing as lovers of our state, to call your attention to appoint those that will assist you to take the cat out of the worm. Greater Bauchi can only be achieved through competent leadership. Your cabinet determines the direction we are going. Let those competent hands with technical know how, close to the people be appointed to steer the affairs of the state.Ā

Ā However, it may interest you to note,Ā  addressing these is of paramount importance to us; the lingering issues of ghost workers, backlog of salaries, pensions and gratuities related problems, youths unemployment, equitable distribution of our merger resources, rejuvenating moribund industries which will no doubt create wealth and drastically reduce our teeming youths off the streets, deficit of infrastructure not only in the state capital etcetera etc.
