LG poll: Shagaya, Nakande call for fair elections

Plateau state interim chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. John Shagaya, and the secretary, Hon. Dasuki Nakande, have called for free, fair conduct of the forthcoming local government elections.

They made the call at the official presentation of three vans to the APC by Hon. Suleiman Yahaya Kwande yesterday in Jos.
Shagaya said: “We are appealing for free safe playing ground from the state government during the local government elections. Security agencies in the state should shun biases during the conduct of the elections, and our supporters should be law abiding.

“I have confidence in the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC), and I hope they do the right thing.”
While receiving the keys and particulars of the vans, he said Kwande’s support to the party during its membership registration exercise was a good boost for the APC.

Also speaking, Nakande said the APC was grateful for the donation of three utility buses which would enhance the smooth running of the party affairs.
He called for party supporters to work and pray for the peace and success of the elections.

Presenting the keys, Kwande promised to do everything possible for the success of the APC as it prepared towards winning elections in the state and the nation at large.
