LG polls: PDP charges members to work harder

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state yesterday tasked its members to work tediously towards clinching all elective positions during forth coming LG polls.
State PDP chairman, Mr Haruna Dabin, made the call during the flag-off campaign rally of Pankshin local government chairmanship candidate, Mr Samuel Goar, in Pankshin.

He said: “We must rise to the challenge and work tedious to clinch all elective positions in the state leaving nothing to the oppositions.
“It is something that could be realised if only we put our acts together as a team; democracy all about number if only we could draws the voters to our side.”
Dabin said PDP had the potential to attract voters to its side with its Transformation Agenda which put smiles on the faces many citizens of Plateau.
He charged the people of Pankshin to ensure that Goar win the chairmanship election alongside then 20 councillorship candidates in the council.
Also speaking, the Speaker of Plateau state House of Assembly, Mr Titus Alams, called on the people to demonstrate politics of sportsmanship and allow a peaceful conduct of the council election.

He noted that no development could take place where there was no peace; “we all want to develop to catch up other developed worlds.”
Goar, in his speech, thanked the people of Pankshin for giving him the party ticket to contest the LG polls.
“Since you people in PDP elected me as the party’s candidate, I am soliciting for your cooperation and support to garner support and votes for me during the election. I assure you that you will not regret electing me as your council chairman.”
