Liverpool fan mocks Man City, compares victory parade after UEFA Champions League triumph… see picture

As the most successful clubs in England for this season, Manchester City and Liverpool each held much-deserved victory parades.

The players were driven round the streets of Manchester and Liverpool as they showed off their respective silverware.

City had the most to show off, however one Liverpool fan has pointed out how much more excitement and atmosphere the Reds’ parade had.

In a video posted to Twitter, we can see Liverpool quite literally painting the town red, as red flares and smoke give the scenes an almost ethereal look as the players show off the Champions League trophy to hundreds of thousands of screaming fans.

By contrast, the scenes shown in the video for Manchester City’s parade look quite stale, and there were certainly fewer people.

‘P.s. one of them won the domestic treble,’ said the video’s accompanying caption, poking fun at Manchester City’s efforts.

Some may argue that the video didn’t actually show the most impressive parts of the Manchester City parade, but that’s football rivalry for you.

Despite Manchester City’s success in recent years, there’s no doubting that Liverpool have a much bigger fan base.

Still, City fans can rest easy knowing they’ve won the Premier League, League Cup, and FA Cup this season. However missing out on the Champions League and a potential unprecedented quadruple will sting a bit.

It was a fantastic season for English football all round, with the Europa League going over to Chelsea as well.
