LP inaugurates polling unit soldiers  

The Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has commenced the inauguration of its polling unit soldiers for the 2023 general elections.

In Dawaki Abuja, the PCC Chief Spokesperson, Dr Tanko Yunusa, explained that the polling units soldiers were volunteers who would function as canvassers for the Labour Party before and during elections.

Dr Yunusa said the Labour Party targeted the recruitment of between 150 to 200 volunteers as soldiers for each polling unit.

The LP PCC spokesperson, emphasised that the Volunteers are also expected to stay within the polling units to ensure that actual results are recorded and transmitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, said the Polling Units were expected to give periodic reports to the State offices of the Obi/Datti Campaign Council.
