The North Central Chairman of Meyyiti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Danladi Chiroma, has called on headers and farmers to shun violence and embrace the path of peace.
He said the People of the state most embrace peace, since the crises has lasted for too long, with no benefits to either side.
Chiroma while fielding questions from journalists over the recent killings of two herders and more than 300 cows, said: “we have no option than to calm our People down.”
“This is not the first time and we have in the past called our people to calm down, by urging them to allow the government and security agents do their work and give them the benefit of doubt and our people have been calm.
“Now they have gone again to kill our cows and we immediately organised a meeting to plead with our people to allow government and security agents handle it and we are still waiting,” he said.
