Mai Zam Zam donates books to Kwarapoly

The Chief Executive Officer, Mai Zam Zam Bookshop Kano, Engr. Muhammad Garba, has donated books worth millions of naira to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

Speaking after receiving the books from the representative of the donor, the rector of the polytechnic, Engr. Jimoh Muhammed Abdul, said the gesture will contribute immensely to the development of the institution.

He said the books which cut across courses from various departments such as Nutrition and Dietetics, Library Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics among others will assist both staff and students of the Polytechnic in research and other academic activities.

Abdul, implored other philanthropists who are sons of the soil, just like the donor to emulate the kind gesture of MMR Nigeria limited to support the management in developing the Polytechnic.

Speaking earlier, the representative of the CEO of the bookshop, Engr. Kazeem Garba said the gesture was to support both the state government and the polytechnic management in developing the education sector in Kwara state.

He promised a continual support to the polytechnic at all times.

Also speaking, the registrar of the polytechnic, Mr. Kolawole Sheye Akande applauded the donor for the kind gesture and prayed God to replenish them.
