Maigari lauds Buhari on road projects

President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for the award of various roads projects across the six geo-political zones of the country worth billions of naira.
The commendation was made by the Life President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Aminu Maigari, while speaking with newsmen in Bauchi, noting that the federal government has done a marvelous job by awarding contracts for 45 roads and bridges across the country valued at N65 billion.
He specifically commended the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, for exhibiting high sense of maturity, commitment and professionalism in the handling of the activities of his ministry, particularly the roads projects.
Maigari stated that the roads project, whose completion period ranged from two to 29 months, spread across the 36 states of the federation, was a sign of good development and fairness to every zone of the country.
He explained that the decision of government to endorse the distribution of the N100 billion realised from the floating of Sukuk bonds into 25 giant federal roads across the six geopolitical zones in the country, WAs a welcome development.
He applauded Fashola for increasing the confidence of Nigerians through the even distribution and execution of roads that had been left unattended to for years.
He also commended the minister for ensuring that government has given attention target to power supply in the country, especially now that the supply has improved from 2,500 to about 7000 megawatts, with a promise to make it up to 20,000 megawatts in the next couple of years, saying he believed the minister was up to the task of achieving the required power target in Nigeria.
