Maigari ‘recruits’ emir to beg David Mark

As part of efforts to ensure he is forgiven ahead of the possibility of being returned to office following intervention of FIFA, sacked president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari, recruited an influential emir to lead a delegation to beg the Senate President, David Mark, for him to be allowed a second term.
The emir led the team to the office of the nation’s number three man who was shabbily treated as the leader of delegation to the Brazil World Cup Finals.

The Senate president while attending to the guests brought in the sports minister, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, who was asked to contribute his perspective to the entire scenario.
Mark was quoted by those in attendance at the meeting to have chronicled the many sins of Alhaji Maigari while in Brazil.
Maigari wanted the Senate president to intercede with the President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, who had earlier rebuffed a delegation of northern monarchs who were recruited to intervene.

When the delegation will proceed to meet with the President Jonathan remains unknown. Whether the Senate president also agreed to open access to the president was also not confirmed.
However, we can report that the Senate president was not told of the certificate forgery involving the fake Grade III certificate with which he contested the last time when the minimum requirement was a secondary school certificate. With the further devaluation of qualification in order to accommodate him reduced to primary school certificate, by the electoral committee, Maigari is sure if he can get the forgiveness of Jonathan that he will sail back to the saddle.
