Maina rewarded for funding Buhari campaign, APC a bunch of pretenders – ADP

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as a “congregation of pretenders”, saying the claimed of embarrassment as a result of illegal reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina was a lie.

Reacting through a statement Thursday in Abuja to the controversial reinstatement and promotion of former pension boss, ADP accused the ruling party of “consistently using the force of government to shield persons accused of corruption as long as such persons belong to their party or is willing to sign up as a member.”

The statement signed by the ADP’s director of media Kayode Jacob, said APC should therefore bury its head in shame instead of feigning embarrassment and surprise.

“The sack of Abdulrasheed Maina by the President and the claim of embarrassment  by APC  is a blatant lie to deceive Nigerians of the  culpability of the presidency and the leadership of APC in an action that has proved to be the mother of all corruption in modern times and a criminal conspiracy that suggest our CSO’s are sleeping  or compromised.

“Nigerians should please no longer take the APC seriously and let all hands be on deck for a credible alternative.”

ADP alleged that Maina’s reinstatement and promotion “is no doubt a reward and pay-back for an inner circle member of the men that did the hatchet job of pulling 2015 through for APC.

“We indeed sympathize with the Head of service for serving under a government of pretenders .  We are aware of several secret memos that the APC government has forwarded to subvert merit and standards in the service.”

ADP insisted that APC government “will soon sweep the matter under the carpet as nothing will be done against Maina except stage managed investigative measures and pretenses that the man is being hounded.

“Maina is one of the major financiers of APC and feelers we received at the ADP point to the fact that he played a significant role in funding the APC during the 2015 presidential election.”
