Former Chairman of Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Malam Abdulrasheed Maina, has expressed readiness to use his technical expertise to recover $10 billion (N4 trillion) stolen fund for President Muhammadu Buhari administration within 30 days.
Maina, who spoke from his hospital bed as he recovers from a surgery, made this known in a statement in commemoration of Nigeria’s 60th independence anniversary.
Speaking in a statement issued by his media aide, Aliyu Musa on Thursday, Maina said, “The recovered $10 billion could help fix infrastructure deficits, cater for fuel subsidy and ameliorate the electricity tariff which will ultimately put the looming industrial action by Nigerian workers to a halt.”

According to the former pension boss, he is set to “start the recovery as soon as he fully recovers from the surgery he just had last week.”

The former pension boss further indicated that he can only make the recovery of the said stolen funds available directly to President Muhammadu Buhari “fearing a situation where the recovered funds are relooted as experienced in the recent past”.
